About the Youth on the Move Programme

The Youth on the Move (YOM) Programme is a global initiative designed to improve access to professional opportunities for migrant, refugee, and displaced youth. Following the success of the pilot programme, UNICEF and the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme expanded the initiative, with MYCP continuing as a key implementation partner.

The 2026–2027 programme cohort will support Youth on the Move UN Volunteers in:

  • Kenya
  • Uganda
  • Iraq
  • Colombia

  • Myanmar

Participants will benefit from mentorship programmes, Skills Accelerator sessions, professional development opportunities, development roundtables, and alumni engagement activities.
