Vital Voices Global Partnership Seeks Program Coordinator for Women Leaders India Fellowship

Vital Voices Global Partnership is a leading international nonprofit organisation that identifies, invests in, and supports women leaders around the world.

For more than two decades, the organisation has partnered with thousands of changemakers across nearly 200 countries, providing leadership development, networks, resources, and visibility to women working to transform their communities.

The Women Leaders India (WLI) Fellowship is designed to strengthen women’s leadership and support emerging leaders in India. The Program Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of fellowship activities.

This position provides an opportunity to work alongside international teams, programme partners, trainers, and participants to advance women’s leadership across India and beyond.

Key Responsibilities of the Program Coordinator

The Program Coordinator will support all aspects of fellowship implementation, including programme operations, participant engagement, administration, and reporting.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating virtual and in-person fellowship activities, including workshops, webinars, meetings, and leadership sessions.
  • Supporting participant recruitment, application management, and selection processes.
  • Serving as a communication point for fellows, partners, trainers, and programme stakeholders.
  • Managing event logistics, including travel arrangements, accommodation, transportation, venues, and programme materials.
  • Maintaining programme records, timelines, documentation, and shared resources.
  • Supporting financial administration, including invoice processing, expense tracking, and budget updates.
  • Assisting with monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning activities.
  • Supporting data collection, participant tracking, and reporting.
  • Creating programme materials, newsletters, blogs, social media content, and storytelling resources.
  • Supporting donor reporting, proposal development, and partnership activities.
  • Collaborating with internal teams including Finance, Communications, Development, and Leadership programmes.

The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced international environment.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • 2–4 years of experience supporting programme coordination, administration, logistics, or nonprofit initiatives.
  • Experience managing events, participant communications, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Knowledge of women’s leadership, gender equality, women’s entrepreneurship, and civil society issues.
  • Experience supporting virtual and in-person programmes.
  • Ability to coordinate travel, vendors, schedules, and programme resources.
  • Experience with reporting, databases, and budget tracking.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work across different cultures and time zones.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, social media platforms, and database systems such as Salesforce.

Experience working in the South Asian region, particularly India, is required. Knowledge of Hindi or another Indian language is considered an advantage.

Hybrid Work Opportunity in Washington, D.C.

The Program Coordinator position is a full-time hybrid role based in Washington, D.C.

Employees are required to work from the Vital Voices headquarters at least two days per week. Remote-only candidates will not be considered.

The role may require up to 30% domestic and international travel when travel conditions allow. Candidates must also be available to work hours overlapping with the India time zone to support programme participants and partners.
