About the Wildlife Funds Manager Role

The Wildlife Funds Manager will provide comprehensive administrative, financial, and operational support throughout the grants lifecycle for one or more Wildlife Funds within WCN’s conservation portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

The role combines grants management, program coordination, communications, and stakeholder engagement.

Grant Administration and Financial Management

Responsibilities include:

• Managing grant agreements, amendments, compliance documentation, and payments.
• Maintaining accurate grant databases and financial records.
• Coordinating with the Finance Department throughout the grant lifecycle.
• Supporting financial planning with accurate grant data.
• Ensuring compliance with WCN policies and due diligence requirements.

Program Coordination

The successful candidate will:

• Provide administrative support across one or more Wildlife Funds.
• Coordinate communication with conservation grantees.
• Collect and compile program performance data.
• Organize meetings and prepare minutes for leadership and granting committees.
• Manage grant reporting schedules and compliance tracking.
• Process impact data from grantee reports.
• Support the development of new conservation initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Citizenship or permanent residency in an African country (preferred).
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• At least five years of experience in grants management, grant writing, or a related administrative field.

• Experience using databases such as Salesforce and Google Workspace.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• French or Swahili language skills (preferred).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Willingness to travel internationally, including occasional field visits.
