Remote Website Coordinator Opportunity

The Website Coordinator will work remotely on a part-time basis for approximately 15 to 20 hours per week. The position pays $23 per hour and is structured as a freelance 1099 role.

The work is approximately 95% asynchronous, allowing the successful candidate to complete most tasks independently. There is one weekly one-hour Zoom meeting, and some overlap with Eastern Time is preferred.

The successful candidate can start as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities

The Website Coordinator will play an important role in keeping The Plant Native’s website updated and organised.

Responsibilities will include uploading, formatting and publishing content using WordPress and Elementor. The coordinator will also ensure that articles are properly structured and presented across desktop and mobile devices.

Other website responsibilities may include adding internal links, writing or checking alt text, fixing broken links and maintaining categories, tags and website templates.

The role also involves supporting the development of useful content for people who are new to native plants. This may include drafting or editing introductions, frequently asked questions, short descriptions, resource pages and reusable content modules.

The successful candidate will also work with Google Docs and Google Sheets and help maintain organised content systems.

Attention to detail will be important because the coordinator will need to identify formatting problems, inconsistencies, broken links and other issues before content is published.
