Role Overview

The Communications Officer – Translation plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and effective communication between project teams and stakeholders. The position focuses on translating content between English and Turkish while supporting documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication.

The role is home-based but linked to project operations in Türkiye, with potential duty stations including Ankara, Hatay, Adıyaman, or Istanbul.

1. Translation Services

  • Provide precise written and oral translations between English and Turkish
  • Support communication across technical areas such as construction, environment, contract management, and social development

Required Qualifications

  • Professional experience
    • Proven experience in translation and interpretation (English–Turkish–English)
    • Experience with simultaneous, consecutive, and written translation
    • Familiarity with tools such as MS Office, Google Workspace, and virtual collaboration platforms
  • Language proficiency
    • Fluency in English (required)
    • Fluency in Turkish (required)

Desirable:

  • Experience working with the United Nations or international organizations
