About the Role
This consultancy is part of the UNICEF Innocenti Gender, Rights, and Protection team, which focuses on:
- Eliminating harmful practices affecting children and women
- Generating and applying robust research evidence
- Supporting global initiatives such as:
- The Global Programme to End Child Marriage
- Joint Programme to Eliminate Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)
Consultants will contribute to research that shapes policies and programs aimed at protecting children and advancing gender equality.
Areas of Expertise Sought
UNICEF is seeking professionals with experience in one or more of the following areas:
Mixed Methods & Implementation Research
- Experience with cash transfer and social protection programs
- Work in low- and middle-income countries
- Quantitative and qualitative research expertise
Gender, Health & Harmful Practices
- Research on adolescent girls’ health and development
- Expertise in child marriage and FGM
- Conducting systematic and scoping reviews
Technical Research Support
- Supporting country and regional research initiatives
- Strong skills in data analysis and interpretation
- Experience designing research methodologies
Research Communication & Knowledge Translation
- Facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagement
- Developing tools to translate research into policy and practice
- Communicating complex findings effectively
