About the UNDP Opportunity
The successful candidate will work as part of the UNDP/Joint Support Team (JST) supporting the Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation.
The GPEDC brings together governments, development organizations, civil society, private sector representatives and other stakeholders working to improve the effectiveness of development cooperation. Its work focuses on generating evidence, strengthening policy dialogue, building partnerships and promoting effective development cooperation.
The Programme Coordination Analyst will support the final year of the GPEDC’s 2023–2026 Work Programme, while also contributing to preparations for the next 2027–2030 Work Programme.
This makes the role particularly relevant for candidates interested in international development, programme coordination, policy research, advocacy and global partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
The Junior Programme Coordination Analyst will provide programme, communications and coordination support to the GPEDC team.
One major responsibility will be supporting the preparation of materials for GPEDC activities and events. This can include drafting and editing concept notes, speaker invitations, speaker biographies, moderation notes and communications materials.
The analyst will also participate in meetings, take minutes and track follow-up actions to help ensure that agreed activities are completed.
Communications will be another important part of the position. The successful candidate will help update website content, prepare promotional materials, draft press releases and develop social media toolkits.
The role will also involve speaker outreach and event coordination, including helping prepare planning documents and communications materials for major GPEDC meetings and forums.
Another significant responsibility will be supporting country-level work. The analyst will help prepare stories of progress, blogs and short summaries of government-led Action Dialogues on effective development cooperation.
The successful candidate will also assist with updating more than 100 country pages on the GPEDC website and support advocacy opportunities around global and regional development forums.

Applicants should have knowledge of development cooperation and the effective development cooperation agenda. Experience in policy research, analysis and drafting policy or communications materials will be valuable.
Experience supporting communications, outreach, multi-stakeholder partnerships, conferences and workshops is also desirable.
