Founded in 2009, TAT works on the powerful premise that every truck driver can be an ally in the fight against human trafficking. The organization educates, equips, empowers, and mobilizes members of critical industries—such as trucking, energy, motorcoach, transit, and school transportation—as well as law enforcement agencies across North America. TAT has trained over 2.5 million people and forged strong public-private partnerships in all 50 U.S. states and eight Canadian provinces and territories.

Position Overview

• Position Type: Full Time
• Start Date: June 1, 2026
• Salary: USD $55,000 – $65,000/year
• Location: Remote, anywhere in Canada
• Travel: Up to 25% of the time; proximity to a major airport is preferred

The Canada Program Manager will serve as the key leader for TAT’s initiatives in Canada. This position will focus on building new partnerships, managing relationships with existing industry allies, representing TAT at events, and ensuring that human trafficking awareness programs are culturally appropriate and effective.

Key Responsibilities

Program Growth – External

• Build relationships with transportation industry stakeholders in Canada to create new opportunities for training and awareness programs.
• Collaborate with industry leaders to expand human trafficking awareness throughout their networks.
• Attend and present at conferences, association meetings, and corporate events, both in-person and virtually.
• Represent TAT in media engagements and public forums.
• Develop and maintain donor relationships to sustain TAT’s Canadian programs.

Program Management – Internal

• Coordinate TAT staff with public and private sector responsibilities and ongoing partnerships in Canada.
• Facilitate monthly team meetings and contribute to TAT’s quarterly Canada-focused newsletter.
• Support strategic planning and the creation of new awareness resources tailored to Canadian audiences.
• Track organizational impact and input data into Salesforce for reporting purposes.
• Lead the development of a Canada-specific strategic plan in collaboration with TAT leadership.

Other Duties

• Assist in a variety of tasks and projects to enhance TAT’s reach and effectiveness in Canada.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The Canada Program Manager will have:

• Strong dedication to combating human trafficking.
• Knowledge of human trafficking issues in Canada (preferred).
• Career-minded commitment to the mission, with longevity in the role preferred.
• Excellent public speaking, communication, and writing skills.
• Advanced program management, strategic thinking, and coordination abilities.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
• Fluency in English required; French fluency preferred.
• High initiative, adaptability, and ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Comfort with travel for events and industry engagement.
