Role Overview
The Africa Communications Coordinator will work closely with both the Africa Programmes team and the Global Communications team to develop and manage content, digital outreach, and dissemination strategies.

- Contract Duration: 9 months (renewable based on performance)
- Start Date: 15 April 2026
- Time Commitment: Approximately 5–7 days per month
- Deadline: 31 March 2026

Key Responsibilities
The role involves a combination of content development, visual communication, and coordination tasks:
Content Creation
- Writing project summaries, articles, and programme updates
- Editing and preparing content for reports and publications
- Supporting storytelling around Africa programme activities
Visual Communication
- Designing graphics, flyers, banners, and social media visuals
- Creating visual assets using tools such as Canva or similar platforms
- Supporting the design of reports and presentations
Digital Outreach
- Managing content across platforms such as:
- Website
- Coordinating publication schedules and dissemination strategies
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaising with external partners and media contacts
- Supporting communications for events, launches, and announcements
- Contributing to outreach and visibility efforts
Required Qualifications
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- A Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field
- At least 3 years of professional experience in:
- Communications
- Media
- Knowledge dissemination
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Experience creating visual content (e.g., using Canva or similar tools)
- Ability to manage digital communications across multiple platforms
- Excellent English communication skills
- Experience working remotely with international teams
- Reliable access to high-speed internet
