About the GEDSI Adviser Role

The successful candidate will work closely with the Lead GEDSI Adviser to ensure inclusive practices are embedded throughout every aspect of the Aus4Skills program.

This role combines strategic advice, technical expertise, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building to help partners implement inclusive and sustainable development approaches aligned with DFAT priorities and the Government of Vietnam.

The position is primarily remote, with potential travel to Hanoi, Vietnam, if required.

Key Responsibilities

The GEDSI Adviser will contribute across multiple areas of program implementation, including:

• Supporting the integration of GEDSI principles across all program activities.
• Assisting with the implementation of the GEDSI Strategy.
• Providing practical advice on gender equality, disability inclusion, and social inclusion.
• Delivering GEDSI training, mentoring, and capacity-building initiatives.
• Collaborating with Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) specialists.
• Ensuring alignment between GEDSI, climate change, and program planning.
• Supporting inclusive data collection and reporting using disaggregated data.
• Building productive relationships with government agencies, implementing partners, and other stakeholders.
• Promoting evidence-based learning and continuous program improvement.

Skills and Qualifications Required

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced development professional with both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills.

Applicants should possess:

• A tertiary qualification in gender studies, development studies, social sciences, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in GEDSI mainstreaming and targeted inclusion programming.
• Experience working in Vietnam or similar international development settings.
• Strong advisory, facilitation, and training skills.
• Knowledge of integrating GEDSI into MEL systems, climate initiatives, planning, and reporting.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-cultural communication skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.

Experience within donor-funded development programs will be highly advantageous.
