About the Sudan Hub Coordinator Role

The Sudan Hub Coordinator is a senior regional leadership position responsible for shaping and implementing GSF’s strategy across Sudan, South Sudan, and Chad. The successful candidate will oversee programme implementation, build strategic partnerships, lead advocacy efforts, and manage a multidisciplinary team working to expand access to justice and reparations for survivors.

This position combines strategic leadership, programme oversight, stakeholder engagement, and operational management in complex humanitarian settings.

Key Responsibilities

The Sudan Hub Coordinator will play a central role in advancing GSF’s mission by:

• Developing and implementing the regional Sudan Hub strategy.
• Building strong partnerships with NGOs, civil society organizations, governments, UN agencies, and international partners.
• Identifying new funding opportunities and strategic collaborations.
• Managing project implementation, budgets, and partner selection across the region.
• Ensuring programmes follow survivor-centred, trauma-informed, and context-specific approaches.
• Monitoring programme performance and documenting lessons learned.
• Leading the development and implementation of a secure Victims’ Registry with strong data governance and confidentiality standards.
• Coordinating the rollout of Education as Reparation initiatives alongside education sector partners.
• Representing GSF at high-level meetings, conferences, and advocacy forums.
• Strengthening local organizations and survivor networks through capacity-building initiatives.
• Managing staff performance, mentoring team members, and promoting employee wellbeing.

Who Should Apply?

GSF is looking for a highly experienced professional with extensive expertise in humanitarian programming, transitional justice, or international development.

Ideal candidates should possess:

• A Master’s degree in law, international relations, social sciences, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of relevant professional experience, including substantial work in Sudan.
• Strong experience managing complex humanitarian or justice-focused programmes.
• Knowledge of conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV) and survivor-centred programming.
• Experience working with civil society organizations and community partners.
• Excellent project management, advocacy, and partnership-building skills.
• Strong communication, writing, and public speaking abilities.
• Fluency in English and Arabic, while French is considered an added advantage.
• Willingness to travel frequently across the region and work effectively in complex operational environments.

Experience establishing victims’ registries, databases, or secure information management systems will be particularly valuable.
