This short-term consultancy provides an opportunity to contribute to strengthening integrity systems across a major regional skills and training initiative operating across the Pacific and Timor-Leste.
About the Pacific Australia Skills Program
Pacific Australia Skills is a significant Australian Government investment designed to support social and economic growth by strengthening skills and training systems across the Pacific and Timor-Leste.
The program builds on more than 17 years of Australian Government support for skills and training in the Pacific. It currently operates in 10 countries, with plans to expand to as many as 17 countries. The program is managed through a Regional Head Office in Suva, Fiji, alongside country offices, and has approximately 175 staff.
The Integrity Short-Term Adviser will play an important role in ensuring that integrity priorities are properly understood, implemented, monitored, and followed across the program.

What Will the Integrity Adviser Do?
The successful candidate will strengthen the integrity function across the Pacific Australia Skills program.
Key areas of responsibility include supporting the program in relation to:
- Fraud and corruption risks
- Foreign bribery
- Sanctions
- Conflicts of interest
- Integrity reporting obligations
- Case management and follow-up
- Incident reporting
- Risk assessments
- Compliance actions
- Integrity training
The adviser will work closely with the Program Director, Pacific Australia Skills team, and DT Global’s corporate team. They will also support staff in completing actions arising from reports, reviews, training, risk assessments, and case management processes.
Another important responsibility will be establishing and supporting Integrity Focal Points across the program.
Contract Duration
This is a short-term adviser assignment of up to 150 days over two years, with the possibility of an extension.
The position reports to the Director of Operations, Pacific Australia Skills.
Because the role operates across a multi-country program, candidates should be comfortable working collaboratively with people from different countries, professional backgrounds, and levels of seniority.
Who Can Apply?

Experience in international development or donor-funded programs is preferred, while integrity investigation qualifications are strongly desirable.
Candidates should also understand integrity risks involving procurement, grants, due diligence, financial controls, bribery, sanctions, conflicts of interest, and fraud and corruption.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are equally important. The successful candidate should be able to mentor staff, provide practical and proportionate advice, prepare guidance and briefing materials, support training, track actions, and handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
Desirable Experience
Additional experience that could strengthen an application includes working in the Pacific region, supporting dispersed multi-country teams, or working on DFAT-funded programs and donor compliance requirements.
Familiarity with integrity, safeguards, procurement, grants, due diligence, or incident reporting processes is also desirable. Experience designing or delivering integrity, ethics, fraud and corruption, or compliance training would be an advantage.
