SEED, Iraq- is hiring Senior Fundraising and Donor Management Officer-Apply before 22 Mar 2026

SEED is a women-led local NGO in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq focused on promoting gender equality, ending gender-based violence, protecting children, combating human trafficking, and supporting mental health and community development. SEED combines advocacy, capacity building, and direct service delivery to create sustainable social impact.

Role Overview

The Senior Fundraising and Donor Management Officer supports SEED’s fundraising strategy and donor relations. The position is based in Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq, with occasional travel within the region, and is a 12-month full-time contract.

The role ensures effective tracking, management, reporting, and stewardship of all donations and donor relationships while supporting fundraising campaigns and events.

Key Responsibilities

1. Donation Management

  • Track all financial and in-kind donations in SEED’s systems.
  • Maintain accurate donor databases and financial records.
  • Coordinate allocation of funds in line with donor agreements.
  • Monitor spending to ensure alignment with project plans.
  • Support reallocation of funds if necessary.

2. Strengthening Donor Management Systems

  • Improve internal procedures for tracking donations, stewardship, and reporting.
  • Refine donor relations tools, templates, and processes.

3. Donor Engagement and Stewardship

  • Track acknowledgments, thank-you communications, and recognition touchpoints.
  • Prepare donor reports and updates in coordination with colleagues.
  • Organize donor cultivation and stewardship events, including invitations, briefings, and follow-up communications.

4. Other Fundraising Support

  • Assist in planning and executing donor appeals and fundraising campaigns.
  • Coordinate online donation campaigns (email, website, social media) with communications team.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • At least 2 years of NGO experience, including 1 year in fundraising, donor relations, or administration, preferably in human rights or protection sectors.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent English writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, tracking, and data management skills.
  • Professionalism, discretion, and alignment with SEED’s values.
