About the Role

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Program Associate will serve as a central coordinator across multiple organizational functions. The successful candidate will support strategic initiatives, strengthen relationships with member companies, coordinate sustainability projects, and manage communications that showcase Sea Pact’s impact.

Key Responsibilities

The Program Associate will support the implementation of Sea Pact’s five-year strategy by:

• Coordinating activities across Wild Sector Sustainability, Social Responsibility, and North American Aquaculture initiatives
• Organizing working group meetings, agendas, and follow-up actions
• Tracking strategic plan milestones and maintaining internal reporting tools
• Developing member resources, toolkits, templates, and educational materials
• Coordinating member surveys and sustainability data collection
• Collaborating with conservation organizations and sustainability advisors

The successful candidate will also support member engagement by:

• Responding to member inquiries
• Preparing materials for meetings, webinars, and workshops
• Assisting with onboarding new member companies
• Coordinating participation at conferences and industry events

Communications Responsibilities

A major component of the role involves increasing Sea Pact’s visibility within the sustainable seafood sector.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing communication strategies with the Executive Director
• Writing newsletters, blog articles, and social media content
• Updating website content
• Promoting Sea Pact through conferences and industry publications
• Preparing reports and presentations for members and funders
• Monitoring industry developments for communication opportunities
• Supporting grant reporting and donor communications

Who Should Apply?

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sustainable seafood, fisheries, aquaculture, or food systems
• Experience with member organizations or trade associations
• Familiarity with Mailchimp, Squarespace, and social media management
• Experience using survey platforms and managing organizational data

Work Location
