This leadership position reports directly to the NATP Administrator and focuses on overseeing classroom instruction, clinical training coordination, student progress tracking, and program compliance with California Department of Public Health (CDPH) regulations.

Key Responsibilities

The selected Program Director will oversee both instructional quality and regulatory compliance for the Nursing Assistant Training Program.

Main duties include:

Program Oversight

  • Ensuring compliance with CDPH training requirements
  • Supervising instructors and monitoring teaching effectiveness
  • Reviewing and signing student records
  • Tracking attendance and student progress

Clinical & Classroom Coordination

  • Planning and supervising clinical activities
  • Conducting classroom instruction evaluations
  • Monitoring skills assessments and weekly reports
  • Supporting student counseling and instructional needs

Administrative Duties

  • Reviewing student documentation including:
    • Photo identification
    • TB testing
    • Physical examination records
    • Live Scan forms
    • CDPH applications
  • Verifying successful completion of all program requirements

Qualifications Required

Applicants must meet strict nursing and training qualifications to be considered for this role.

Required Credentials

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of two years of nursing experience
  • At least one year of long-term care facility experience
  • Approval from the California Department of Public Health as an NATP Program Director
  • Valid California Driver’s License and reliable transportation
