Position Overview: Fractional Grants Manager

The Grants Manager will play a key role in expanding RIVET’s funding partnerships by identifying potential donors, developing strong grant proposals, and managing relationships with foundations.

This remote position requires approximately 20 hours per week, with working availability between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM ET.

The successful candidate will help translate RIVET’s mission, impact data, and programs into compelling funding opportunities that attract support from philanthropic partners.

Key Responsibilities

Foundation Research and Funding Pipeline Development

The Grants Manager will:

  • Research and identify foundations aligned with RIVET’s mission.
  • Develop strategies for engaging potential funders.
  • Maintain and manage a pipeline of grant opportunities.
  • Track outreach activities and progress through CRM systems.
  • Identify new funding opportunities to support organizational growth.

Grant Proposal Development

Responsibilities include:

  • Writing persuasive grant proposals and concept notes.
  • Developing letters of inquiry (LOIs).
  • Creating funding strategies for different thematic areas.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to strengthen proposals.
  • Communicating RIVET’s impact and vision to potential funders.

Grant Reporting and Donor Stewardship

The successful candidate will support:

  • Monitoring grant deadlines.
  • Preparing high-quality grant reports.
  • Creating updates and stewardship materials for funders.
  • Collecting impact stories and data with finance and program teams.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with philanthropic partners.

Systems Management and Team Collaboration
