1. Finance Manager – The Hague, Netherlands
The Climate Centre is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join its Operations team. The successful candidate will work closely with Financial Officers and other teams while reporting to the Director of Operations.
The Finance Manager will support the organisation’s financial management and administration, helping ensure that resources are properly planned, monitored and managed.
Key Responsibilities
The Finance Manager will be responsible for:
- Supporting audit processes and liaising with external auditors.
- Supporting organisational budgeting and forecasting.
- Contributing to financial planning.
- Ensuring accurate financial tracking.
- Ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
- Responding to financial queries from partners and stakeholders.
- Ensuring accurate and timely financial administration.
The position is full-time, 32–40 hours per week.
Location and Eligibility
This is a hybrid position, combining home-based work with work at the Climate Centre’s office in The Hague, Netherlands.
Applicants must have a work and residency permit for the Netherlands. The organisation therefore requires candidates to already have the legal right to work in the country.
Candidates should also have at least seven years of demonstrable experience in finance, accounting or financial management.

2. Attribution Internship – Home-Based
The Climate Centre is also recruiting an Attribution Intern to support its real-time attribution work.
This internship is particularly suitable for postgraduate students studying climate-related disciplines and interested in extreme weather events, climate change, vulnerability and disaster risk reduction.
The intern will contribute to monitoring extreme events, conducting research and preparing evidence that can support climate-related advocacy and communication.
Key Responsibilities
The intern will assist with:
- Monitoring and prioritising extreme weather events.
- Using internal tracking tools and public databases.
- Supporting the development of Attribution Debriefs.
- Reviewing previous attribution studies.
- Researching historical weather conditions.
- Investigating local vulnerabilities and exposure.
- Assessing potential societal impacts.
- Preparing internal briefings and documentation.
- Supporting attribution studies and communications.
- Participating in weekly event-monitoring calls.
- Preparing rapid internal notes and briefings.
The internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in climate research while working within an international humanitarian and climate-focused environment.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must currently be enrolled in a Master’s or PhD programme and must remain registered throughout the three-month internship.
