The Associate, Procurement Innovation will support a new initiative focused on helping two major city governments test innovative procurement approaches.

Role Focus: Transforming Public Procurement Systems

The successful candidate will help government partners explore new approaches to purchasing goods and services while improving efficiency, competition, and collaboration.

The role will involve supporting projects focused on:

• Increasing vendor competition.
• Applying artificial intelligence to government back-office operations.
• Improving coordination between government departments.
• Developing creative approaches to resident engagement.
• Designing scalable procurement solutions that can be used across jurisdictions.

The Associate will work closely with government officials, nonprofit organisations, technology companies, and innovation partners.

Key Responsibilities of the Associate, Procurement Innovation

The Associate will support project development, implementation, stakeholder engagement, and organisational growth.

Project Design and Implementation

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting research through interviews, surveys, data analysis, focus groups, and policy reviews.
• Helping government partners identify challenges and develop solutions.
• Creating project plans, implementation roadmaps, and progress reports.

• Supporting change management activities.
