About the Role

The Global Programme Operations team helps Save the Children deliver high-quality, compliant and effective programmes for children around the world.

The team provides support in areas including programme delivery, operational performance, risk management, organisational learning and continuous improvement.

As Senior Officer, Program Operations, the successful candidate will help coordinate strategic priorities and ensure that important initiatives are properly planned, implemented, monitored and communicated.

The role will involve working across teams in a global, matrixed environment, making strong communication and stakeholder management skills essential.

Key Responsibilities

Approximately 40% of the role will focus on Global Programme Operations Coordination and Programme Risk, Delivery & Performance.

The successful candidate will coordinate planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of annual workplans and strategic priorities.

They will also track key performance indicators, milestones and deliverables while identifying risks and dependencies that may require escalation.

Other responsibilities include preparing reports, dashboards, presentations and briefing materials to support senior leadership decision-making.

A further 30% of the role will support programme risk, delivery and performance. This includes coordinating risk information and action plans, consolidating data and supporting strategic risk and performance reporting.

The successful candidate will also help identify trends, lessons learned and opportunities for improving programme effectiveness and organisational performance.

Another 20% will focus on learning, knowledge management and capacity strengthening. Responsibilities include supporting learning initiatives, maintaining knowledge-management platforms and helping share good practices across Save the Children’s global programme community.

The remaining 10% will involve communications, engagement and leadership support, including preparing newsletters, communications materials, workshops, meetings and strategic planning activities.

Who Can Apply?

Additional written-language skills in French, Spanish or Arabic could further strengthen an application.
