Role Overview
The WordPress Consultant will play a key role in maintaining and improving Technovation’s WordPress platform, which hosts curriculum materials and program resources. This platform is essential to delivering educational content and supporting the organization’s global audience.
The consultant will collaborate closely with marketing and software development teams to ensure the website remains secure, functional, and user-friendly.
Key Responsibilities
The role is divided into three main focus areas:
Technical Maintenance (70%)
- Perform regular plugin updates and troubleshoot related issues
- Implement security updates and resolve vulnerabilities
- Identify and fix technical issues affecting site performance
- Troubleshoot problems related to themes, pages, and content updates
- Document all technical changes and improvements
Deployment Support (20%)
- Manage weekly deployment processes in coordination with the Marketing Operations Manager
- Ensure updates are ready for production and backups are completed
- Conduct post-deployment checks to confirm successful updates
- Assist in refining deployment workflows as needed
Website Updates (10%)
- Create new pages and update existing content as requested
- Add images, adjust content blocks, and improve layout
- Track tasks and progress using project management tools like Asana
