Leading a Regional Peacebuilding Programme
The SEEBSR Programme Director will provide strategic leadership for all programme activities while working closely with the Executive Director and Management Board. The successful candidate will oversee ongoing initiatives and identify opportunities to strengthen the programme’s regional presence through partnerships, research, and project development.
This leadership position requires someone who can balance strategic planning with day-to-day programme coordination while ensuring high-quality delivery of research publications, events, and regional initiatives.
The role also involves supervising Project Coordinators and research teams working on analytical outputs related to South-East Europe, the Western Balkans, Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and the Black Sea region.
Key Responsibilities
The Programme Director will oversee both strategic and operational aspects of the regional programme.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Providing overall leadership for programme initiatives and regional projects.
- Building and maintaining professional networks across South-East Europe and the Black Sea region.
- Identifying opportunities for partnerships, programme growth, and regional collaboration.
- Preparing concept notes and project proposals to support fundraising efforts.
- Supervising Project Coordinators and multidisciplinary research teams.
- Coordinating publications, analytical reports, and regional events.
- Representing the programme during seminars, workshops, conferences, and panel discussions.
- Working closely with senior leadership to align programme priorities.
- Promoting programme outputs and organizational initiatives.
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and mentoring of new team members.

Qualifications and Experience
The Platform is seeking experienced professionals with academic expertise and practical leadership experience in international affairs.
