About the Partnerships Manager Role
The Partnerships Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing funding opportunities with grant-making foundations and philanthropic organizations in the Netherlands and internationally.
Working closely with the Business Development team, the successful candidate will connect donor interests with Hivos’ strategic programmes while building long-term relationships that generate sustainable funding.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Develop and implement a strategy for engaging family foundations, corporate foundations, and philanthropic partners.
- Identify new funding opportunities that support Hivos’ strategic priorities.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing donors.
- Develop compelling funding propositions tailored to donor interests.
- Collaborate with the Business Development team to secure co-funding opportunities.
- Prepare high-quality concept notes, funding proposals, and partner briefs.
- Represent Hivos during networking events and strategic engagement opportunities.
- Maintain an active pipeline of prospects using CRM systems.
- Monitor relationship development and ensure timely follow-up with partners.
