Mapping and Profiling Consultant Opportunity with Pacific Feminist Fund|Deadline 04 Sept 2026

The Pacific Feminist Fund (PFF) is seeking a consultant or consulting team for a Mapping and Profiling Consultant opportunity. The consultancy will support the organisation in understanding the needs, strengths, gaps and opportunities of its partners, helping inform future training, capacity strengthening, peer learning and other forms of accompaniment support.

This is a virtual consultancy running from October 2026 to February 2027, making it an opportunity for experienced consultants who can work remotely and bring strong research, mapping, analysis and stakeholder engagement skills to a feminist funding organisation.

About the Pacific Feminist Fund

The Pacific Feminist Fund supports feminist movements and organisations across the Pacific. Its work focuses on strengthening organisations and movements working toward more just and equitable societies.

Through its grants and other forms of support, PFF works with partners to strengthen feminist action and contribute to lasting social change. Understanding the capacities, challenges and opportunities facing its partners is therefore important to ensuring that support is relevant and responsive.

About the Consultancy

The Mapping and Profiling Consultant will undertake work designed to help PFF develop a clearer understanding of its partners and their support needs.

The consultancy will focus on mapping partners’:

  • Needs and priorities.
  • Existing strengths and capacities.
  • Gaps requiring additional support.
  • Opportunities for training and capacity strengthening.
  • Opportunities for peer learning.
  • Other areas where accompaniment support may be valuable.

The findings are expected to provide useful insights that can help PFF strengthen how it supports its partners and tailor future capacity-building and learning opportunities.

Key Areas of Work

The consultant or consulting team will be expected to undertake a structured mapping and profiling process. This will require gathering and analysing relevant information about PFF’s partners and identifying common themes, strengths, challenges and opportunities.

The work may involve engaging with partners and relevant stakeholders, reviewing available information and developing a clear analysis of capacity-strengthening needs.

Strong attention to context will be important, particularly given the diversity of organisations and communities working across the Pacific.

The final work should provide practical insights that PFF can use to inform future accompaniment, training and peer-learning initiatives.

Who Can Apply?

The opportunity is open to an individual consultant or consulting team with relevant experience to undertake the assignment.

Professionals with backgrounds in areas such as organisational development, capacity strengthening, research, partner mapping, programme learning, stakeholder engagement or feminist movement support may find the consultancy particularly relevant.

Strong analytical and communication skills will be important, as the assignment requires the consultant to turn information gathered from partners into useful findings and recommendations.

Experience working with civil society organisations, feminist movements, funders or organisations operating in the Pacific context would also be valuable.

Consultancy Period and Location

The consultancy will be undertaken virtually, providing flexibility for consultants who are able to deliver the assignment remotely.

The expected consultancy period is:

October 2026 to February 2027

The virtual format allows the selected consultant or consulting team to work remotely while engaging with PFF and its partners as required throughout the assignment.

Why This Consultancy Matters

Effective capacity strengthening starts with understanding what organisations actually need. A mapping and profiling exercise can help ensure that support is not based on assumptions but instead reflects partners’ existing strengths, priorities and challenges.

Through this consultancy, the Pacific Feminist Fund will be better positioned to identify where partners could benefit from training, peer learning, organisational support and other forms of accompaniment.

The assignment therefore offers an opportunity for an experienced consultant to contribute to a process that could strengthen the effectiveness and sustainability of feminist organisations and movements across the Pacific.

Application Deadline

Proposals must be submitted by:

5:00 PM UTC+12, Friday, 4 September 2026

Interested consultants and consulting teams should review the full Terms of Reference for detailed information about the assignment, requirements and proposal process before applying.

With the consultancy scheduled to begin in October 2026, prospective applicants should ensure they have sufficient time to review the requirements and prepare a strong proposal before the deadline.
