The Grant Operations & Compliance Coordinator is part of the Infrastructure Department, specifically within the Grant Operations & Compliance (GO&C) team. Reporting to the Assistant Director of GO&C, this role supports both incoming and outgoing grant processes across the organization.
The position requires close collaboration with multiple departments, including:
- Salesforce operations
- Legal and compliance teams
- Program and partnership teams
- Strategic and operational units
This role is highly collaborative and demands strong interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage workflows across different teams and systems.
Key Responsibilities
The coordinator plays a central role in maintaining efficient and compliant grant-making processes. Responsibilities are divided into two main areas:
Grants Management and Operations
- Coordinate and manage organizational proposal materials
- Ensure all documents are accurate, current, and well-organized
- Respond to funder inquiries in collaboration with internal teams
- Manage communications through the grants inbox
- Support the development and maintenance of grant templates in Salesforce
- Assist with compliance training in partnership with legal and operations teams
- Conduct due diligence reviews for higher-risk grants
- Perform spot checks on lower-risk grants to ensure compliance
- Upload and organize compliance documents within Salesforce systems
Systems and Infrastructure
- Become a power user of Salesforce and related tools such as DocuSign, Apsona, and Form Assembly
- Participate in Salesforce-related initiatives and improvements
- Optimize workflows to enhance grant-making efficiency
- Support the development and documentation of policies and procedures
- Troubleshoot system issues and improve integrations
These responsibilities require both technical proficiency and a strong understanding of grant-making processes.
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role will possess a combination of technical skills, organizational ability, and a passion for nonprofit work. Key qualifications include:
- 1–2 years of experience in grants management or a related field
- Knowledge of grant processes, compliance, and financial considerations
- Experience with grant management systems (GMS)
- Familiarity with Salesforce (strongly preferred)

- Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams
- Problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
A Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred but not strictly required.
