About the Operations and Development Director Role

The Operations and Development Director serves as a key member of the organization’s leadership team and works closely with the Executive Director to ensure smooth and effective operations.

This full-time, exempt position is scheduled to begin in September 2026 and offers the flexibility of working remotely within the United States or from Woods Hole, Massachusetts.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will oversee a broad range of organizational functions, including:

Financial Operations

  • Coordinate with bookkeeping and accounting partners
  • Oversee payroll administration
  • Manage vendor payments and reimbursements
  • Track organizational budgets

  • Support annual tax filings and financial reviews

Grants Management

  • Maintain grant calendars and reporting schedules

Qualifications and Experience
