The Migration & Young People Collective Platform (MYCP) is pleased to invite young leaders from the Global Majority to apply for the position of Junior Policy Officer (Part-Time) for the 2026 cycle.

This one-year opportunity offers emerging practitioners the space, mentorship, and responsibility to contribute to global policy processes on migration and displacement while developing essential leadership, coordination, and advocacy skills in a youth-led, multicultural environment.

As one of the only global platforms led entirely by and for young people affected by migration, MYCP works to ensure that the voices and experiences of children and youth shape policy decisions across international, regional, and national systems.

The Junior Policy Officer will play a key role in strengthening MYCP’s Secretariat operations, advancing collective advocacy efforts, and supporting a growing global network of young people influencing migration governance.

Who Can Apply?

This position is open exclusively to young people aged 18–30 who are from and currently residing in:

  • Latin America & the Caribbean
  • Africa
  • Southwest Asia
  • North Africa
  • Asia & the Pacific

Applicants must be available to work primarily within Central European Time (CET) hours.

We strongly encourage applications from individuals with lived experience of migration, forced displacement, statelessness, or diaspora and border communities.

About the Role

The Junior Policy Officer is a remote, part-time consultant role (20 hours per week) reporting directly to the Global Coordinator. The position runs from January to December 2026, with a possibility of renewal based on funding.

The successful candidate will support MYCP’s Secretariat, help coordinate global youth structures, and contribute to policy and advocacy outputs that shape international conversations on migration and the rights of children and young people.
