To strengthen its European advocacy and communications efforts, MenEngage Europe is recruiting an Advocacy and Communications Coordinator who will play a central role in policy engagement, member support, and public communications.
Position Details
Job Title: Advocacy and Communications Coordinator

Contract Duration: Initial One-Year Contract (Renewable)
Working Hours: 32–38 Hours per Week
Salary: €4,100 – €4,400 per Month

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will lead advocacy and communication initiatives that strengthen MenEngage Europe’s impact across the region.
European and EU Advocacy Coordination
Key duties include:
- Developing evidence-based advocacy strategies.
- Coordinating political engagement with European institutions.
- Building relationships with EU policymakers and civil society organizations.
- Monitoring policy developments affecting gender equality.
- Producing advocacy briefs, alerts, and policy recommendations.
- Connecting national-level advocacy efforts with EU policy processes.
Capacity Strengthening and Member Support
The coordinator will:
- Strengthen advocacy skills among network members.
- Facilitate peer learning opportunities and training sessions.
- Support members in developing effective lobbying strategies.
- Coordinate campaign materials and advocacy resources.
- Promote collaboration across the network.
Communications and Visibility
The role also includes:
- Managing digital communication platforms.
- Producing engaging written and visual content.
- Supporting awareness campaigns and advocacy initiatives.
- Enhancing the visibility of MenEngage Europe and its members.
- Communicating complex policy issues in accessible formats.
Who Should Apply?
MenEngage Europe is looking for professionals with a strong commitment to gender justice and extensive advocacy experience.
Essential qualifications include:
- At least five years of experience in EU advocacy, lobbying, or policy engagement.
- Strong understanding of European Union institutions and gender equality frameworks.
- Demonstrated commitment to feminist, intersectional, and gender-transformative approaches.
- Experience facilitating training, coaching, and capacity-building initiatives.
- Excellent writing, editing, and digital communication skills.
- Public speaking and stakeholder engagement experience.
- Ability to simplify complex policy issues for diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Excellent English language proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with the following additional experience are encouraged to apply:
