About the Role
As a Social Media Content Creator, you will work closely with CSPI’s social media and policy campaign teams to develop engaging, platform-native content that supports the organization’s advocacy campaigns.
The primary focus will be creating short-form video content for TikTok, with additional content adapted for Instagram Reels and other digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Pitching creative content ideas for social media campaigns.
- Writing scripts for short-form videos.
- Filming, editing, and producing 2–3 videos per week.
- Creating engaging TikTok content that can be repurposed across multiple platforms.
- Designing static graphics and multi-slide carousel posts to simplify policy information.
- Monitoring and reporting on campaign performance metrics.
- Collaborating with communications and policy teams to support advocacy initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Applicants should demonstrate experience in digital content creation and social media storytelling.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Experience producing TikTok and Instagram Reels content.
- Strong scriptwriting and storytelling abilities.
- Confidence appearing on camera or providing voice narration.
- Video editing skills.
- Experience using design platforms such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar tools.
- Ability to transform complex policy topics into engaging, easy-to-understand content for diverse audiences.
Contract Details
The position offers flexible remote work with the following terms:
- Fully remote contract position.
- Approximately 15–20 hours per week.
- 10-month contract duration.
- Monthly compensation of $3,000.
- Production of approximately 8–12 short-form videos each month.
