About the Role

The Digital Fundraising and Marketing Officer will support CAMFED’s ambitious plans to grow income from small-dollar donors globally. Working closely with the Digital Fundraising and Marketing Senior Manager, the successful candidate will help develop and execute digital campaigns that attract, engage, convert, and retain supporters.

The role focuses primarily on the United States and Canadian donor markets while collaborating with global fundraising, communications, and digital teams.

Key Responsibilities

The Digital Fundraising and Marketing Officer will manage and optimize paid digital campaigns while helping improve supporter experiences across multiple channels.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Managing paid media campaigns across social media, search, and other digital platforms.
  • Optimizing campaign performance to maximize donor acquisition and retention.
  • Supporting marketing budget allocation and performance monitoring.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to develop compelling creative content.
  • Contributing to campaign planning, audience targeting, and testing strategies.
  • Supporting email marketing journeys and remarketing initiatives.
  • Bringing market-specific insights to improve campaign effectiveness in Canada.

The successful candidate will help ensure digital campaigns align with organizational fundraising objectives while delivering measurable results.

Driving Data-Informed Fundraising Growth

Data and performance measurement are central to this role. The officer will be responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting on campaign performance across multiple platforms.

Key duties include:

  • Producing monthly, quarterly, and annual campaign reports.
  • Monitoring metrics such as traffic, conversions, donor acquisition costs, revenue, and return on investment.
  • Using data insights to improve future campaign performance.
  • Supporting planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities.
  • Identifying lead generation and donor retention opportunities.

The position requires an analytical mindset and the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations for diverse stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications

CAMFED is seeking candidates who possess a combination of technical marketing expertise, strong communication skills, and a passion for social impact.

Required qualifications include:

  • Experience interpreting marketing and fundraising data.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns, budgets, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong digital copywriting skills across advertising and email channels.
  • Knowledge of emerging digital marketing trends and platforms.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.

Salary and Benefits

The role offers a competitive compensation package for qualified candidates.

  • Salary: CAD $67,895 annually.
  • Employment Type: Permanent.
  • Schedule: Full-time (37.5 hours per week) or 80% schedule option.
  • Work Arrangement: Remote or Hybrid from Toronto.
  • Reporting Line: Digital Fundraising and Marketing Senior Manager.
