About the Marketing Manager Role

The Marketing Manager will serve as the driving force behind Concert Theatre Works’ digital presence and audience engagement strategy.

Working closely with the Artistic Director, Graphic Designer, Video Editor, and leadership team, the successful candidate will oversee digital campaigns, social media strategy, audience growth, partner marketing coordination, and analytics reporting.

This role offers strong creative ownership and the opportunity to contribute directly to the organisation’s growth during a significant expansion phase.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will support several core areas of the organisation’s marketing operations.

Social Media and Content Strategy

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and executing the organisation’s social media strategy
  • Creating and scheduling original platform-specific content
  • Growing audience engagement and follower numbers
  • Maintaining a dynamic content calendar
  • Supporting community engagement across digital platforms
  • Organising media coverage and reviews into a consistent brand voice

The role requires creativity, consistency, and strong understanding of digital audience behaviour.

Digital Advertising and Campaign Management

The Marketing Manager will also oversee advertising campaigns across multiple digital platforms including:

  • Meta platforms
  • Google Ads
  • GiveButter

The successful candidate will monitor campaign performance, optimise ad spend, and provide weekly performance reports aligned with box office and audience growth targets.

Email Marketing and Audience Development

The role includes co-authoring monthly newsletters with the Artistic Director using Mailerlite while developing strategies to grow the organisation’s subscriber base.

The organisation is looking for someone capable of using data-informed strategies to strengthen audience relationships and improve engagement.

Partner Coordination and Analytics

The Marketing Manager will work closely with marketing teams at partner festivals, orchestras, and venues to coordinate promotions and maximise ticket sales.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Tracking analytics and MetaPixel integration
  • Collecting box office performance data
  • Monitoring conversions and ROI
  • Maintaining media and press libraries
  • Sharing review highlights and promotional content internally

Skills and Experience Required

Concert Theatre Works is seeking candidates with demonstrated experience in arts marketing and nonprofit audience growth.

Applicants should possess:

  • Experience managing social media and digital marketing campaigns
  • Strong knowledge of Meta advertising and analytics
  • Proven ability to grow nonprofit or arts-focused audiences
  • Experience using AI marketing tools, Canva, Eventbrite, and GiveButter
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and remote collaboration abilities

The organisation strongly prefers candidates with backgrounds in performance, theatre, music, or opera, as well as familiarity with international touring and arts programming.

Flexible Remote Working Opportunity

The role is fully remote, allowing professionals from anywhere in the world to apply.

Position details include:

  • Part-time schedule of 10 hours per week
  • Minimum 40 working weeks annually
  • Hourly pay of USD $30
  • Performance-based salary increases
  • Up to 12 weeks unpaid vacation annually

The successful candidate will report directly to founder and Artistic Director Bill Barclay.
