Member Success Manager at Middle States Association – Remote Role with Up to $60K Annual Salary

The Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA) is currently seeking a Member Success Manager to join their team. This fully remote role offers an opportunity to engage directly with school leaders, helping them achieve their goals while supporting MSA’s growth and impact in education.

The Member Success Manager acts as the frontline liaison between MSA and prospective member schools, ensuring strong relationships and supporting the enrollment and engagement process.

Role Purpose and Responsibilities

The Member Success Manager’s key responsibilities include:

  • Relationship Management: Engage prospective schools to understand their goals, challenges, and needs, and determine how MSA can support them.
  • Pipeline Oversight: Maintain and update the CRM system, track prospective members, run follow-ups, and ensure accurate data reporting.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Pull performance reports, identify patterns, and support decision-making through data-driven insights.
  • Collaboration and Learning: Work closely with the VP of Member Success and contribute to a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.

This role requires adaptability, the ability to manage multiple relationships, and comfort with shifting priorities in a small, dynamic team.

Ideal Candidate Profile

MSA seeks candidates who are:

  • Experienced with relationship-building (2+ years preferred), particularly in education, sales, or outreach pipelines.
  • Skilled at connecting with people quickly and fostering trust.
  • Comfortable managing high-volume, detail-oriented tasks while maintaining a personalized touch.
  • Experienced with CRMs, reporting, and basic data analysis.
  • Familiar with or willing to quickly learn the landscape of school choice and alternative education.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and able to take ownership of projects and learn from experiments.

Experience in school leadership or education administration is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: USD $45,000 – $60,000 per year, set by MSA’s Finance Committee.
  • Benefits: 403B contributions, healthcare, vision/dental, life insurance, and generous personal time off.
  • Work Arrangement: Fully remote with virtual attendance required for monthly staff meetings. Occasional travel may be required for conferences or retreats.
  • Global Applicants: International candidates are welcome through a compliant Employer of Record (EOR) arrangement.

Selection process:

  1. Application review
  2. Initial 15-minute interview
  3. Second 30-minute interview
  4. Work sample (1–2 hours, completed asynchronously)
  5. Final 45–60 minute interview with the President and VP of Member Success
