About LEEP

The Lead Exposure Elimination Project (LEEP) is an evidence-based nonprofit organization working to eliminate childhood lead poisoning worldwide. An estimated one in three children globally is affected by lead exposure, and LEEP focuses on reducing this public health crisis by helping governments introduce lead paint regulations, supporting manufacturers in switching to lead-free paints, and conducting research that drives policy change.

Since launching in 2020, LEEP has established lead paint elimination programs in 40 countries, completed 33 paint studies, and partnered with governments in 18 countries to strengthen lead paint regulations. The organization also works alongside the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and has received funding from major organizations, including Bloomberg Philanthropies, USAID, Schmidt Futures, and Founders Pledge.

About the Program Associate Role

The Program Associate will work closely with LEEP’s Senior Program Manager to coordinate and implement lead paint elimination programs across multiple Asian countries. The position combines government engagement, industry collaboration, research, stakeholder management, and project coordination.

This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy solving problems, managing diverse projects, and working with international partners to deliver measurable public health impact.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Support governments in developing and implementing lead paint regulations.
• Build relationships with policymakers across ministries and government agencies.
• Prepare advocacy materials, educational resources, and technical documents.
• Participate in government meetings and stakeholder workshops.
• Deliver training and provide technical feedback.
• Engage paint manufacturers and encourage the transition to lead-free products.
• Collaborate with technical experts to identify safe raw material alternatives.
• Coordinate paint studies by collecting product samples and arranging laboratory testing.
• Prepare country reports and summarize research findings.
• Build partnerships with civil society organizations and other stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

LEEP is seeking candidates who possess:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Project coordination experience is an advantage.
• Adaptability and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Full professional proficiency in English.

Additional language skills in Mandarin, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Thai, or Malay are highly desirable.

Salary and Benefits

Salary depends on the candidate’s location and experience.

Example salary ranges include:

• Jakarta: Rp616,452,824–Rp703,738,180 annually.
• Bangkok: ฿1,339,001–฿1,528,594 annually.
• Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City: 976,624,015₫–1,114,907,062₫ annually.
• Singapore: SGD $64,291–$73,394 annually.

Work Location
