The Learning & Coordination Intern role offers an excellent entry point into the international development sector for students and recent graduates. Hosted by AF Development Care, this fully remote internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in project coordination, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL), and organizational support.

Role Overview

This is a 3-month unpaid internship aimed at early-career professionals interested in NGO operations and development consulting. The intern will contribute approximately 2 hours per day, working closely with the organization’s leadership and team on key coordination and learning activities.

The role focuses on building practical skills while supporting real-world projects across Africa and Asia.

Key Responsibilities

The intern will support three main workstreams:

1. Consultant Roster Coordination

  • Track and organize applications for the global consultant roster
  • Maintain a structured database of candidates
  • Draft professional communication and acknowledgements

2. MEAL Workshop Support

  • Assist in organizing virtual training sessions
  • Manage participant registration and communication
  • Prepare learning materials and document outcomes

3. Project Management Workshop Support

  • Support logistics and coordination of online workshops
  • Engage with participants and assist facilitators
  • Help compile reports and session summaries
