ITU Seeks Remote Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM Consultant for Six-Month Digital Transformation Project

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM Consultant to support the implementation and optimization of its new customer relationship management platform.

This remote consultancy provides an opportunity for technology professionals with expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365, CRM integration, data migration, and AI-powered business solutions to contribute to a major digital transformation initiative within the United Nations system.

The consultant will work remotely from a home-based location for an initial period of six months, with the possibility of extension.

Remote CRM Consultant Opportunity

As part of ITU’s digital transformation roadmap, the organization is implementing a new Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM system to strengthen customer engagement, improve sales processes, and enhance productivity through automation and artificial intelligence.

The Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM Consultant will join the CRM team and work under the guidance of the Head of CRM Applications Service.

The consultant will support the design, configuration, integration, migration, and adoption of the CRM platform while ensuring that the system meets organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities of the Consultant

The selected consultant will lead several technical and business-focused activities, including:

Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM Configuration

The consultant will:

  • Design and configure Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM modules.
  • Customize Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, and Activity Management features.
  • Develop workflows supporting customer engagement and sales operations.
  • Improve pipeline tracking, forecasting, and reporting processes.

CRM Integration and Data Management

The consultant will design and implement integrations between Dynamics 365 and existing systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing interfaces between Dynamics 365 and legacy CRM platforms.
  • Supporting integration with SAP CRM systems.
  • Using Azure Logic Apps and Azure Functions for data exchange.
  • Ensuring accurate API-based communication between systems.
  • Implementing error-handling and retry mechanisms.
  • Monitoring integration performance and system activity.

AI-Powered Productivity Improvements

The consultant will support the use of Microsoft Copilot capabilities within Dynamics 365.

This includes leveraging AI features for:

  • Automated meeting summaries.
  • Opportunity insights.
  • Predictive recommendations.
  • Improved customer engagement activities.
  • Enhanced productivity for sales and relationship teams.

Reporting and Business Intelligence

The consultant will develop tools that help teams monitor performance and make informed decisions.

Expected Project Deliverables

The successful consultant will be responsible for delivering:

The consultant will also help ensure successful adoption of the CRM platform by providing guidance and knowledge transfer to end users and administrators.

Required Skills and Experience

ITU is seeking professionals with strong technical expertise and experience delivering enterprise CRM solutions.

Applicants should have:

  • Proven experience implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM.
  • Strong knowledge of Dynamics 365 Sales modules.
  • Experience working with:
    • Accounts.
    • Contacts.
    • Opportunities.
    • Activities.
  • Experience integrating CRM platforms with other business systems.
  • Knowledge of APIs, middleware, and CRM data models.
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 integrations including:
    • Outlook.
    • Microsoft Teams.
    • SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot and AI features.
  • Experience with workflows, security roles, and CRM customization.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience with SAP CRM integration will be particularly valuable for this assignment.

Education and Language Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • A university degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field.

Equivalent advanced technical education may also be considered.

Candidates should have:

  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience in a relevant field.
  • Advanced knowledge of English.

Knowledge of one of ITU’s other official languages is an advantage:

  • Arabic.

  • Spanish.

Consultancy Terms and Compensation

Compensation:

USD $230–$420 per working day, depending on the consultant’s experience and qualifications.
