About the Senior Policy Coordinator Role

Reporting to the Head of Policy, the Senior Policy Coordinator will play a key leadership role in advancing NWC’s strategic priorities, with a strong emphasis on women’s safety, gender-based violence, and eliminating all forms of violence against women.

The successful candidate will lead policy development, research, advocacy campaigns, stakeholder engagement, and strategic projects while ensuring all work reflects NWC’s feminist values and strategic objectives. The role addresses issues including domestic and sexual violence, harassment, technology-facilitated abuse, and the links between housing insecurity and violence against women.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Policy Coordinator will:

  • Lead policy research and development on women’s equality issues.
  • Coordinate advocacy initiatives and public campaigns.
  • Manage projects supporting the prevention of domestic, sexual, and gender-based violence.
  • Produce strategic policy analysis and recommendations.
  • Develop policy publications and advocacy materials.
  • Organise events and engagement activities.
  • Build strong partnerships across statutory and non-statutory organisations.
  • Collaborate closely with NWC members and external stakeholders.
  • Represent the organisation at meetings, consultations, and public forums.
  • Support project staff and contribute to organisational strategic priorities.
