Position Details
Position: Project Assistant (Online Learning Assistant)
Department: International Refugee Law and Migration Law
Location: Remote/Home-Based with occasional missions to Sanremo and Geneva
Contract Type: Consultancy Contract
Contract Duration: 6 Months (Renewable)
Monthly Remuneration: EUR 1,100 – EUR 1,500

Role Overview
Working closely with Course Coordinators, the Project Assistant will help plan, organize, implement, and evaluate online and in-person learning initiatives.
The role combines instructional support, digital learning management, graphic design, participant engagement, research, and administrative coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Course Planning and Coordination
- Support the planning and implementation of courses and training initiatives
- Assist with course administration and follow-up activities
- Coordinate participant communications before, during, and after courses
- Maintain accurate databases and reporting systems
Online Learning Platform Management
- Support the development and maintenance of online learning platforms
- Upload and update learning materials
- Assist facilitators and participants in navigating digital learning systems
- Troubleshoot technical issues during online sessions
Digital Learning and Instructional Design
- Contribute to the design of interactive learning experiences
- Assist in creating and updating course content
- Support the development of adult learning methodologies
- Help improve teaching approaches and training materials
Research and Content Development
- Conduct research on refugee, migration, displacement, and statelessness issues
- Prepare reports and briefing materials
- Compile global statistics and protection-related information
- Develop educational resources and learning tools
Graphic Design and Multimedia Support
- Create presentations using PowerPoint and Canva
- Design infographics and visual learning materials
- Support multimedia content development
- Assist with digital communications and outreach materials
Required Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- A university degree in Educational Sciences, Adult Learning, Digital Learning, Digital Communication, Graphic Design, Instructional Design, or related social science fields
- Fluency in English
- Fluency in a second language, preferably:
- Spanish
- French
- Arabic
- Experience organizing online courses and educational events
- Knowledge of digital learning platforms and tools
Required Technical Skills
Candidates should demonstrate experience with:
- Canva
- Moodle
- Zoom for Education
- Articulate 360
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Online collaboration platforms
- Graphic design tools and visual communication techniques
Desired Qualifications
