The internship is divided into two phases:

AI Labs (October 2026 – January 2027)

Key activities include:

• Developing workflows that transform unstructured media into searchable assets.
• Supporting newsroom teams in accessing historical content for current reporting.

Research, Archives & Data Strategy (January – April 2027)

In the second phase, interns will work on ethical AI frameworks and archival data preparation.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing archival collections for machine learning experimentation.
• Developing metadata standards and documentation.
• Supporting ethical AI governance initiatives.
• Exploring AI-assisted approaches to uncover insights from archival collections.

AI Prototyping and Workflow Development
