About the Volunteer Role
The Communications, Online Visibility and Public Recognition Volunteer will work closely with the ICO communications team to strengthen the organisation’s public profile and digital presence.

The volunteer will help organise communications resources, develop digital content, and promote ICO’s work to a wider audience.

Key Responsibilities
The successful volunteer will assist with a variety of communications activities, including:
- Organising communications materials related to ICO projects and partnerships
- Compiling photographs, publications, reports, and media coverage for the “10 Years of ICO” project
- Documenting organisational milestones and advocacy achievements
- Preparing and scheduling content for LinkedIn and other social media platforms
- Supporting the creation and distribution of Mailchimp newsletters
- Assisting with drafting press releases, news articles, and organisational updates
- Identifying opportunities to improve ICO’s online visibility and public recognition
- Maintaining a consistent communications style across digital platforms
- Conducting research on media, communications, and partnership opportunities
- Providing general communications and administrative support to the team
