About the Specialist II, Resource Mobilization Role

The Specialist II, Resource Mobilization position supports ChildFund’s global fundraising and business development efforts. Reporting directly to the Director II, Resource Mobilization, the specialist will help identify funding opportunities, coordinate proposal development processes, strengthen donor engagement efforts, and support resource mobilization strategies.

The role is designed for professionals who excel at research, proposal coordination, donor intelligence gathering, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

The Specialist II will contribute significantly to ChildFund’s global resource mobilization efforts through several important functions.

Donor Opportunity Identification

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring donor websites and funding platforms.
  • Tracking grant opportunities and donor announcements.
  • Conducting opportunity analysis aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Sharing relevant funding opportunities with internal teams.

Business Intelligence and Research

The specialist will:

  • Analyze funding trends and donor priorities.

Required Qualifications

ChildFund seeks candidates with a strong background in international development fundraising and proposal management.

Applicants should possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum five years of experience in resource mobilization, grants acquisition, business development, or proposal development.
  • Experience working within international NGO environments.
  • At least two years of donor intelligence and opportunity sourcing experience.
  • Experience supporting proposals for government, bilateral, multilateral, corporate, or foundation donors.
  • Experience using SharePoint and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference may be given to candidates who possess:

  • Experience drafting successful donor proposals.
  • Knowledge of US Government funding mechanisms.
  • Experience with multilateral donor programs.
  • Understanding of development and humanitarian programming.
