Co-Impact is seeking an experienced Manager, Communications to strengthen its global communications efforts and support its mission of creating stronger, more inclusive health, education, and economic systems.

This fully remote, full-time opportunity is open to candidates authorized to live and work in Brazil, Kenya, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and the U.S. East Coast. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping Co-Impact’s external voice, developing compelling impact stories, and supporting the organization’s strategic priorities, including resource mobilization, leadership visibility, and sector influence.

The position offers an annual salary of USD $112,000, alongside a comprehensive benefits package.

Role Overview: Manager, Communications

The Communications Manager will report to the Associate Director, Communications, and will contribute to implementing Co-Impact’s communications strategy.

This role focuses on:

  • Editorial leadership and content development.
  • Impact storytelling and brand communications.
  • Media engagement and external positioning.
  • Communications planning and project management.
  • Supporting fundraising and stakeholder engagement efforts.

The ideal candidate will be a skilled storyteller who can transform complex global development work into clear, engaging, and impactful communications materials.

Key Responsibilities

Impact Storytelling and Content Creation

The Communications Manager will:

  • Develop clear messaging aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Lead the creation of high-quality communication materials.
  • Manage storytelling projects from concept development to final delivery.
  • Maintain impact stories, campaign content, leadership materials, and funder communications.
  • Draft briefing notes, talking points, Q&As, and background documents.
  • Ensure all communications reflect Co-Impact’s brand identity and values.

Media Support and External Communications

The role will also involve:

  • Supporting media outreach activities with communications agencies and partners.
  • Monitoring media trends and providing editorial guidance.
  • Supporting proactive and reactive communications during major announcements.
  • Strengthening Co-Impact’s reputation and public presence.

Communications Planning and Project Management

The successful candidate will:

  • Create communications plans and manage timelines.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Track progress, risks, and dependencies.
  • Ensure projects remain on schedule and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Support reputation management and compliance-related communications.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in communications, media relations, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience producing high-quality communications under tight deadlines.
  • Experience collaborating with designers and creative teams.
  • Strong project management abilities.
  • Experience in philanthropy, gender equality, or international development.
  • Experience with fundraising communications and community engagement is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Global South contexts and systems change approaches.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • A university degree in a relevant discipline.

Experience working across cultures and time zones will be highly valued.
