OWA Europe Corporate Strategy Lead: The Humane League Offers Remote Opportunity with Salary Up to £46,692

The Humane League (THL) is inviting experienced campaign professionals to apply for the OWA Europe Corporate Strategy Lead position, a full-time remote opportunity supporting animal protection organizations across Europe. The role offers a competitive salary of up to £46,692 per year for candidates based in the United Kingdom, alongside a 10% hiring bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
The position is designed for an experienced campaigner and strategic thinker who can help advocacy organizations turn ambitious strategies into effective corporate campaigns.
About The Humane League
The Humane League is a global nonprofit organization working to end the abuse of animals raised for food. Its work focuses on building campaigns and partnerships that encourage improvements in the treatment of animals within food systems.
The OWA Europe Corporate Strategy Lead will work within the Open Wing Alliance (OWA), a global coalition of approximately 90 animal protection organizations operating across more than 70 countries. The alliance works collectively to secure meaningful improvements for chickens and other animals through corporate campaigning.
In Europe, OWA organizations have focused particularly on eliminating battery cages and encouraging companies to adopt the European Chicken Commitment (ECC).
What the Corporate Strategy Lead Will Do
The successful candidate will play a strategic and supportive role across the OWA European network. Rather than simply developing campaign strategies, the role focuses heavily on helping member organizations put those strategies into practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic guidance on corporate campaign development and execution.
- Coaching OWA member groups to strengthen their campaigning capabilities.
- Helping organizations overcome challenges and maintain campaign momentum.
- Adapting campaign strategies to different national and regional contexts.
- Delivering virtual and in-person training on corporate campaigning and outreach.
- Developing resources and training materials for campaigners.
- Building strong, trust-based relationships with OWA member organizations.
- Identifying opportunities for knowledge sharing and collaboration across the network.
- Supporting regional campaign strategy and helping translate plans into measurable action.
The role therefore combines strategy, advocacy, training, relationship management and campaign execution.
Who Can Apply?
The Humane League is looking for an experienced professional with previous involvement in corporate pressure campaigns, corporate engagement or corporate negotiations.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate experience developing and implementing campaign strategies and moving projects from planning into action.

- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Excellent relationship-building abilities.
- Independence and ownership of responsibilities.
- Strong time-management and prioritization skills.
- Adaptability in changing environments.
- Ability to work across different cultural and political contexts.
- Experience motivating stakeholders without direct authority.
- A strong commitment to animal protection.
Candidates should also have a global perspective and be comfortable working with organizations and stakeholders from different European countries.
