The Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the largest LGBTQ+ civil rights organization in the United States, is recruiting for a variety of positions across fundraising, policy, legal, finance, human resources, membership, retail, and operations. These opportunities are primarily based in Washington, DC, with one retail position available in Provincetown, Massachusetts.

Current Open Positions
1. Coordinator, Membership Experience (or Manager)
- Location: Washington, DC
- Salary: USD 60,000–66,000 per year
- Employment Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Support member engagement and help strengthen relationships with HRC supporters through outstanding membership services and communication.
2. Paralegal
- Location: Washington, DC
- Salary: USD 78,500–104,000 per year
- Department: Legal / General Counsel
- Employment Type: Full-time, Exempt
Provide legal and administrative support to HRC’s legal team while contributing to advocacy and organizational operations.
3. Major Gifts Officer (or Senior Major Gifts Officer)
- Location: Washington, DC
- Salary: USD 78,500–104,000 per year
- Department: Fundraising / Development
Develop relationships with major donors and help secure philanthropic support for HRC’s national programs.
4. Deputy Director, Government Affairs
- Location: Washington, DC
- Salary: USD 108,000–135,000 per year
- Department: Government Affairs / Policy / Legal
Lead legislative advocacy efforts and advance public policies that promote equality and civil rights.
5. Associate Director, People Strategy
- Location: Washington, DC
- Salary: USD 83,200–104,000 per year
- Department: Human Resources
Support talent management, employee engagement, and organizational development initiatives.
6. Staff Accountant, Accounts Payable
- Location: Washington, DC
- Salary: USD 75,000–80,000 per year
Manage accounts payable processes and contribute to HRC’s financial operations.
7. Senior Director, Mid-Level Giving (Federal Club)
- Location: Washington, DC
- Salary: USD 140,800–176,000 per year
Lead fundraising strategies focused on growing HRC’s mid-level donor program.
8. Staff Accountant

- Salary: USD 55,100–67,000 per year
Support accounting operations, revenue tracking, and financial reporting.
9. Director, National Campaigns
- Location: Washington, DC
- Salary: USD 110,000–132,000 per year
Manage national advocacy campaigns that advance equality and public engagement.
10. Events & Activations Temp
- Location: Washington, DC
- Pay: USD 25 per hour
- Employment Type: Temporary
Assist with planning and delivering HRC’s major fundraising events, including the National Dinner.
