Experience working alongside governments, United Nations agencies, international NGOs, and community organizations will be an advantage. Familiarity with fragile or conflict-affected contexts is especially relevant, as many outbreak-prone regions face additional security and logistical challenges.

Language Skills Matter

Language proficiency will play an important role in deployment opportunities. French language skills are highly desirable due to the frequent occurrence of Ebola outbreaks in Francophone regions, particularly the DRC.

English may be required for international coordination and reporting functions, while knowledge of local languages such as Swahili, Kinyarwanda, Kihavu, and other community languages can significantly enhance effectiveness in field-based roles involving community outreach and engagement.
