Free Online Climate & Health Course 2026: Strengthening Climate Resilience and Sustainability of Health Systems Worldwide
Health professionals, sustainability practitioners, and public health experts are invited to apply for a free online course on climate resilience and sustainable healthcare systems designed to strengthen the ability of health systems to respond to climate change challenges.
The course, titled “Strengthening Climate Resilience and Sustainability of Health Systems in the Western Pacific Region,” provides participants with practical knowledge and tools to integrate climate adaptation, sustainability, and resilience strategies into healthcare systems.
Running for 10 weeks from 20 August to 22 October 2026, the fully online programme is open to professionals working in healthcare, public health, emergency response, sustainability, research, and health system planning.
Successful participants will have the opportunity to receive a Certificate of Participation upon completion.
About the Course
Climate change is creating significant challenges for healthcare systems worldwide. Rising temperatures, extreme weather events, changing disease patterns, and increasing pressure on health infrastructure require stronger and more sustainable approaches to healthcare delivery.
This free virtual course aims to equip professionals with the skills needed to build climate-resilient health systems while promoting environmentally responsible healthcare practices.
The programme is offered by the Global Consortium on Climate and Health Education (GCCHE) and the Western Pacific Network on Climate and Health Education (WPNCHE), with support from partners including The Lancet Countdown Oceania.
