About Girls on the Run International
Girls on the Run International is a national nonprofit organization focused on creating a world where every girl can recognize and activate her limitless potential. Through experience-based programs that creatively integrate running and physical activity, the organization helps girls develop social, psychological and physical skills that can support them as they navigate different life experiences.
The organization also emphasizes inclusion, diversity, equity and access, with a commitment to reducing barriers that may prevent girls and communities from participating in its programs.
About the Graphic Designer Position
The Graphic Designer will become part of the organization’s creative team and will help translate marketing strategies, campaign objectives and organizational priorities into compelling visual communications.
The successful candidate will create materials supporting a variety of initiatives, including program participation, volunteer recruitment, fundraising, merchandise sales, events and brand awareness.
The role also involves supporting the Girls on the Run council network by developing adaptable creative assets and marketing materials. Designers will need to balance local flexibility with consistency across the national Girls on the Run brand.
Key Responsibilities
The Graphic Designer will be responsible for developing high-quality creative materials for both print and digital platforms. Responsibilities include creating social media content, email graphics, website materials, presentations, event materials and campaign assets.

Additional duties include collaborating with teams such as Programming, Technology, Partnerships, Fund Development and Merchandise. The designer may also support photography and video production, including planning shoots, selecting assets and assisting with basic post-production.
Maintaining organized brand assets, templates, photography and video libraries is another important part of the position. The successful candidate will also be expected to stay informed about emerging design trends, digital tools and creative technologies, including responsible applications of AI.
Qualifications and Skills
Applicants should have 1–3 years of professional graphic design experience, particularly across print and digital platforms. A degree or formal training in graphic design, visual communications, marketing or a related discipline is preferred but is not mandatory.
