About the Communications Advisor Role

DT Global is seeking an experienced Communications Advisor or communications consultancy to strengthen the visibility and impact of the Australia-Pacific Partnerships Platform and its country programmes.

Working closely with the Senior Communications Officer and programme teams, the successful consultant will provide strategic communications advice while producing high-quality communication materials that highlight the impact of development initiatives across the Pacific.

This consultancy combines strategic planning with practical implementation, making it ideal for communications professionals who enjoy both advising senior stakeholders and creating engaging content.

Key Responsibilities

The Communications Advisor will support a wide range of communications activities, including:

  • Developing and implementing strategic communications plans
  • Producing high-quality written communications and knowledge products
  • Creating engaging visual storytelling and multimedia content
  • Supporting public diplomacy communications initiatives
  • Designing graphics and communication materials
  • Advising programme teams on communications strategies
  • Strengthening stakeholder engagement across multiple programmes
  • Ensuring consistent branding and messaging throughout the Platform
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams
  • Enhancing the visibility of development achievements across Pacific countries

Required Qualifications and Experience

DT Global is looking for a senior communications professional with extensive experience delivering communications services in complex development environments.

  • More than 10 years of relevant communications experience
  • Expertise in strategic communications and communications advisory services
  • Strong public relations and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience developing communications strategies
  • Excellent content writing and editing abilities
  • Graphic design and visual communications expertise
  • Multimedia storytelling experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience working with governments, donor-funded programmes, or international development organisations
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Desirable Experience
