About the Remote Position
The BHR Partnerships and Development Officer will work closely with the Head of Business & Human Rights and the Partnerships & Development Team to strengthen donor relationships, identify funding opportunities, and support strategic business development efforts.
This is a fully remote, full-time consultancy position, making it suitable for qualified professionals based in different regions around the world.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will support partnership development and fundraising activities through a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Identifying new funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities
- Conducting research on donors, foundations, private sector organizations, and strategic partners
- Supporting proposal writing, concept notes, expressions of interest, and full funding proposals
- Coordinating partnership activities with internal teams
- Preparing donor engagement materials and capability statements
- Maintaining donor and partner information within the organization’s CRM system
- Monitoring partnership activities and ensuring timely follow-up actions
- Supporting stakeholder engagement and external partnership meetings
- Strengthening internal systems related to business development and donor engagement
This role combines research, coordination, proposal development, and relationship management to help expand GRC’s global impact.
Required Qualifications
Applicants should possess a combination of technical expertise and partnership development experience.
Essential qualifications include:
- At least three years of experience in Business & Human Rights or related fields
- Minimum three years supporting partnerships, donor engagement, or business development
- Experience working with international NGOs, consultancies, or international organizations
- Experience supporting donor proposals and funding applications
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Excellent organizational and project coordination abilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across international teams
- Outstanding written and spoken English communication skills
Desirable Experience
Candidates with any of the following will have an added advantage:
- Experience working with private sector organizations
- Knowledge of donor-funded projects
- Familiarity with CRM platforms
- Existing relationships with donor agencies or partnership networks
