Role Overview
The Global Solutions Coordinator will support DRC’s global strategy by improving how country offices design and implement programs aimed at resolving displacement challenges.

The successful candidate will collaborate with country teams to:
- Design strong solutions-oriented programs

Key Responsibilities
The Global Solutions Coordinator will contribute to several core areas of DRC’s work.
1. Technical Support and Capacity Development
One of the primary responsibilities is strengthening the technical capacity of DRC’s country offices.
Key activities include:
- Leading training and mentoring initiatives for field staff
- Supporting country teams in analyzing displacement contexts using DRC’s Country Analysis Framework
- Guiding teams in identifying interim and durable solutions pathways
- Providing technical support for program design, implementation, and monitoring
- Helping integrate solutions approaches into broader humanitarian programming
- Supporting cross-country knowledge sharing and collaboration
The role ensures that country programs align with DRC’s Response Framework and Strategy 2030.
2. Strategic Guidance and Advocacy
The Global Solutions Coordinator will also help shape the organization’s strategic direction on displacement solutions.

- Ensuring compliance with DRC policies and guidance on durable solutions
- Supporting the development of new policies, strategies, and innovative approaches
- Assisting country offices in developing advocacy strategies related to displacement solutions

3. Learning and Knowledge Management

Required Qualifications and Experience
Candidates interested in this position should demonstrate strong expertise in displacement and humanitarian programming.
Key requirements include:
- An advanced degree in International Development, Social Sciences, Refugee Studies, or a related field
- At least seven years of experience in displacement and solutions programming
- Strong knowledge of global frameworks addressing displacement, including those developed by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee
- Proven experience in capacity building, technical advisory roles, and program development
- Expertise in solutions-focused strategies in complex and protracted displacement contexts
Additional competencies include:
- Experience working with duty-bearers and social protection systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and facilitation abilities
- Fluency in English and French
The role also requires the ability to travel 20–30% of the time, including to challenging operational environments.
Location and Contract Details
The position will primarily be based in Copenhagen, Denmark, at the headquarters of the Danish Refugee Council.

- Contract duration: Until 31 December 2026
- Start date: As soon as possible
- Extension: Possible depending on funding availability
While Copenhagen is the main location, other countries where DRC has offices may also be considered, depending on the candidate’s legal right to work there.
