Global Citizen, a global movement committed to ending extreme poverty, is seeking a Senior Manager – Social Media to lead the strategy, development, and execution of the CEO’s social media channels. Role Overview
The Senior Manager – Social Media will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive social media strategy for the CEO, ensuring alignment with Global Citizen’s broader mission and campaigns. This hybrid role requires strategic thinking, creative content development, and hands-on execution, including managing multimedia content, producing short-form video, and coordinating cross-functional teams. The position reports to the Office of the CEO and works closely with Marketing and Communications teams to maintain consistency between the CEO’s digital voice and organizational branding.
Key Responsibilities
Content Development & Storytelling (30%)
- Lead content creation for the CEO’s channels, including written posts, graphics, video, and multimedia storytelling.
- Draft social media copy, talking points, captions, and scripts for pre-production.
- Coordinate with internal teams to translate key events, campaigns, partnerships, and milestones into engaging digital content.
- Maintain the CEO’s authentic voice while ensuring consistency with Global Citizen’s brand and mission.
- Develop and maintain a content calendar covering day-to-day posts, tentpole moments, campaigns, and global events.
Production & Content Creation (30%)
- Capture and produce social-first content, including behind-the-scenes videos and event highlights.
- Manage external vendors and freelance content creators.
- Review and provide feedback to ensure all content aligns with the CEO’s voice and brand.
Technology & Platform Management (15%)
- Maintain expertise in social media platforms and evolving algorithms.
- Utilize analytics and digital tools to optimize workflow and performance.
- Support paid media campaigns on verified executive accounts.
- Provide technical guidance for content publishing and management.
Strategy & Leadership (15%)
- Execute a comprehensive CEO social media strategy aligned with organizational priorities.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the CEO’s voice on LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, X, and emerging platforms.
- Monitor trends, industry developments, and partner activity to optimize engagement.
- Collaborate with the Deputy Chief of Staff and Growth Team to align social presence with broader organizational goals.
Analytics & Performance (10%)
- Track and analyze campaign and content performance.
- Identify areas for engagement growth and optimization.
- Develop frameworks to measure and report the effectiveness of social media activities.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience managing social media strategy and content, preferably for senior executives or C-suite leaders.
- Proven experience developing successful campaigns across multiple platforms.
- Exceptional writing and storytelling skills tailored to executive voice.
- Expertise with major social platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok).
- Experience producing or managing multimedia content, including video.
- Strong project management skills, capable of juggling multiple priorities.
- High professionalism, discretion, and ability to manage confidential information.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams and time zones.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, PR, Digital Media, or related field.

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary Range: $95,000 – $100,000 annually.
- Hybrid Work Model: 3 days in NYC office (Tue–Thu), 2 days remote (Mon & Fri).
