Global Compassion Coalition Hiring Head of Social & Digital Brand | Remote Worldwide | $30–$35/Hour

The Global Compassion Coalition is seeking a creative and tech-savvy Head of Social & Digital Brand to lead its online presence and strengthen engagement across multiple digital platforms. This is a 100% remote contract/freelance opportunity that can be performed from anywhere in the world.
The role offers USD $30–$35 per hour for approximately 15 hours per week, with flexible scheduling and an asynchronous working arrangement. The expected start date is 1 October 2026.
The position is suited to an experienced social media and digital content professional with strong visual design skills, video editing experience and an understanding of mindfulness, self-compassion, wellness or personal growth.
About the Global Compassion Coalition
The Global Compassion Coalition is an organisation working across areas including children and youth, civic engagement, climate change, education, human rights and civil liberties.
The Head of Social & Digital Brand will help communicate the organisation’s mission through social media, digital content, community engagement and partnerships. The successful candidate will be responsible for turning existing long-form content into engaging digital materials while maintaining a consistent and recognisable brand identity.
About the Head of Social & Digital Brand Role
This position will take ownership of the organisation’s online presence. Rather than simply publishing posts, the successful candidate will help shape the organisation’s digital voice and ensure its mission is communicated effectively across different platforms.
The role involves repurposing long-form videos into short and medium-form content, including clips, reels, shorts and carousel posts. Content will be created and adapted for platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and Substack.
The successful candidate will maintain a regular posting schedule of approximately 2–3 high-impact posts per week across the organisation’s primary channels.
Key Responsibilities
The Head of Social & Digital Brand will:
- Transform long-form videos into short-form and medium-form digital content.
- Create engaging videos, graphics, carousel posts and written updates.
- Write clear and mission-aligned social media captions.
- Maintain a consistent digital brand voice across platforms.
- Monitor relevant world events, cultural conversations and industry trends.
- Protect and strengthen the organisation’s visual identity.
- Develop influencer collaborations and brand partnerships.
- Support cross-promotional opportunities within the mindfulness space.
- Lead social media campaigns for events, workshops, fundraisers and initiatives.
- Engage directly with the online community through comments and messages.
- Manage content workflows and calendars using Asana.
- Use Canva, video editing software and AI-powered tools to improve production efficiency.
Requirements and Experience
Applicants should have at least three years of experience managing multi-channel social media platforms, with evidence of building and engaging audiences.
Strong technical skills are required. Candidates should be comfortable using professional video editing software such as Premiere Pro, CapCut or Final Cut, as well as Canva. Familiarity with AI video tools such as Opus Clip is also desirable.
An understanding of the mindfulness, self-compassion, wellness or personal growth space is important for this role.
The successful candidate should also be organised and able to manage projects independently. Experience with Asana or similar project management platforms will be useful for maintaining content calendars and managing digital workflows.
Strong visual judgement is another important requirement. Candidates should understand elements such as pacing, typography, layout and lighting when producing digital content.
A self-directed approach is expected, with the ability to take raw material and turn it into polished, publication-ready content without requiring detailed step-by-step supervision.
Language Skills
Native-level English is required, while fluent Spanish is preferred. Bilingual candidates who can communicate effectively in both English and Spanish may be particularly suited to the organisation’s international digital audience.
Important Application Instruction
Applicants must include the word “Mindful” at the very beginning of their introduction when submitting their application.
Candidates should also be prepared to answer questions about their favourite mindfulness book or teacher and explain why it is meaningful to them.
Applicants are required to provide at least three links to videos or social media posts they personally edited. They should also introduce themselves authentically and describe recent experience with similar projects.
